These photos were taken on June the 25th, 2003. A rainy day, a new camera and a madman on a bike trying to grab as many photos as possible before the clouds burst is what we're dealing with here.
As always folkes, you just click on the pic to make it bigger.... and if you want you can hold the mouse over the bigger pic until some weird little square thing pops up in the lower right corner of the pic.... just click on that.... and behold the magic....

The friendly cop boats are always present to guard the three downtown bridges from the maniacs who insist upon bombing us till we convert to the islam.

I'm no expert but I do know that the brooklyn bridge was the worlds first great suspension bridge, which means these wires are the only thing holding this sucker up.

I should edit these... make them pop, and all that... but I am drinking right now and the drink makes me lazy.... it's the story of my life.... well, my adult life anyway.... so you get to see the raw versions of the pics.

the bridge looks solid from this angle, but then again I don't have to cross it.... frankly, it's just the people from brooklyn who use it to come over to manhattan to annoy us every day.... so I'm not convinced it would be much of a loss if the maniacs blew it up and spared us the parade of lowlifes....

this is the ramp leading up to the walkway part of the bridge.... that's not me, obviously but that's what i do.... ride around the city on my bike annoying people with my cameras.... it's a hobby.

here is the first of many trippy perspective shots that get the photography buffs all hot and bothered.... I blame the germans for this bauhaus formalism....

the joggers would give me dirty looks, being typical new yorkers they were vain enough to think I was taking photos of them and not the bridge.... I ignored them.... like they can't jog somewhere less photogenic....

here's one with people in it for all you people freaks.... people are alright, but the endless parade of tourists can get on a your nerves.... wait, I'll have another drink.... ahhhhhh.... welcome tourists.... watch out for the seagull shit....

though I do like to take shots of couples....

spidermans crash pad

aaawwwww.... trippy.... I would explain to you how I vectorized the flag, but frankly I forget all that technical stuff nowadays.... and besides the liberals would think i'm a fascist for emphasizing the flags which drape our beleagured city these days.....

here's a long focus shot.... we photography types loves our long focus shots....

another couple scuttling over to manhattan.... you know i've heard of cheap dates but the subway is only two bucks....

those lights are nice..... I'll have to go up there some night and shoot some pics when they are on.... and hopefully not get mugged

middle of the bridge.... try and imagine these if I wasn't too lazy to skip working the contrast and saturation a bit.... oh well, there's a future for me somewhere... it will just be one that involves only a bare minimum of effort and work....

here's the money shot.... so to speak

this woman snubbed me when she jogged by.... that's probably why she's alone.... pass on by snobby jogger....

Japanese guys when the rain started...

the tower in the back looks just like a cathedral....

cooler long focus bike shot....

cool long focus bike shot.....

coolest bike shot.... there's a guy with muscles in the foreground for the chicks....

I like this shot best... just a bridge on a rainy day.... and a fool with a camera....

what is the significance of the couple with the red umbrella?..... we'll see....

but first another single individual strolling across the vectorized bridge, alone in the rain....

you see, the single red umbrella covering up the kissing couple symbolizes the shelter that love provides against the harsh rainy windblown elements of a cold cruel world..... of course, I'm a little wind blown myself, so maybe I'm just dreaming out loud....

here's a nicer shot for you romantic folkes... notice how she's grabbing his ass.... a woman after my own heart....

one more bike shot for the road....

a chubby guy looking for a hamburger....

and a warning sign about "attachments"... there's a theme here somewhere, but I'm too tired to suss it out....

much thanks to anyone who made it this far..... notice how the sign says the bridge was built by roebling and his son.... hell, even I know roeblings wife did most of the work while he was laid up till he died of the bends.... oh well, that's part of love too.... a whole lot of work, dedication and inspiration that will probably go unsung in the long run.... adios, dear viewers.... and if you're from brooklyn..... I don't even want to hear it.....

all bikemen are brothers.... that is what madbiker preaches....
more pics from our beloved seaport soon....
in the meantime here's a page called Seaport Sunsets.... bet you can't guess what they're about.... kissssssss4myfriends
